The government on Friday issued orders giving effect to its earlier decision to reduce stamp duty on sale deeds from 7 per cent to 5 per cent.The orders will come into effect from Saturday across the state.
Stamp duty reduction is one of the important reforms under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).In order to get funds under JNNURM,stamp duty should be reduced to 5 per cent.The government also made amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Revision of Market Value Guidelines Rules,1998.These amendments will also come into effect from Saturday
